Roy Harmon

Roy Harmon is the Chairman of the Board for the Frontier Health Foundation and while he is happily enjoying his retirement he was an active and prominent member of the community. Roy attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN in 1976 with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He served as a Director for Paragon Commercial Bank from 1997 until December 2018 and as the Chairman and CEO of Bank of Tennessee 2004 until retirement in August 2019.

Roy has spent time in leadership positions with various philanthropic organizations throughout East Tennessee. He was the Founding treasurer of Friends in Need, the Treasurer of United Way and the Chairman of Kingsport Public Art Committee. His other time spent helping his community was as the Chairman of Funfest’s 25th anniversary, the Director of Tennessee Educational Lottery and an Alderman for City of Kingsport. Roy loves East Tennessee as well as ensuring our communities stay beautiful. He is currently the Director of Tennessee Wildlife Foundation and is an avid tree farmer. Roy has three grown children and five wonderful grandchildren that he enjoys traveling and spending time with alongside his beautiful wife Liza.
